HP/S: God and Goddess invocation, lighting lanterns:

HP & HPS: The unveiling of the company of heaven.

HPS: I am the blue-lidded daughter of Sunset; I am the naked brilliance of the voluptuous night-sky. Invoke Me under My stars! Sing the rapturous love-song unto Me! Burn to Me perfumes! Wear to Me jewels! Drink to Me, for I love you! I love you! I am above you and in you. My ecstasy is in yours. My joy is to see your joy.

HP: Come! All ye, and learn the secret that hath not yet been revealed. I am the flame that burns in every heart of man, and in the core of every star. I am Life, and the giver of Life, yet therefore is the knowledge of Me the knowledge of death. Come! Lift up thine heart and rejoice! Thrill with the joy of life and death!

HP & HPS: Every man and every woman is a star.

HP:

The circle is cast.
We stand between the worlds.
This is the place that is no place,
And the time outside of time.

Direct all to be seated or otherwise make themselves comfortable. Invite them to study the Moon and the sea.

HP:

O Isis, veiled on Earth, but shining clear
In the high heaven now the full moon draws near,
Hear the invoking words, hear and appear,
Shaddai el Chai, and Ea, Binah, Ge.

HPS:
I am She who ere the earth was formed
Was Ea, Binah, Ge.
I am that soundless, boundless, bitter sea
Out of whose deeps life wells eternally.

HP:
Those who adore our Goddess adore Her by a thousand names. Those who adore our Goddess adore Her as the Moon. She is also the Great Deep whence life arose. She is all ancient and forgotten things wherein lay our roots. She is the mistress of the tides that flow and ebb and flow and never cease. In these things are the keys of Her mysteries, known only to those who love Her.

HPS:
O Thou that wast before the earth was formed
Ea, Binah, Ge.
O tideless, boundless, bitter sea,
I am Thy priestess. Answer unto me.

HP:
Learn now the secret of the web that is woven between the light and the darkness; whose warp is life evolving in time and space, and whose weft is spun of the lives of men. Behold: we arise with the dawn of time from the grey and misty sea, and with the dusk we sink in the western ocean, but never in all our journeying do we go alone.

HPS:
O arching sky above and earth beneath,
Giver of life and bringer-in of death,
Persephone, Astarte, Ashtoreth,
I am Thy priestess. Answer unto me.

HP:
Learn now the mystery of the ebbing and flowing tides. Our Lady the Moon awaiteth the coming of Her Lord the Sun. She draws him from the place of the dead, from the kingdom where all things are forgotten. And He comes to Her in his boat called Millions Of Years, and the earth grows green with the springing grain. For the desire of the Lord answereth unto the call of the Lady. And so it will ever be in the hearts of men, for thus the Gods have formed us.

HPS:
O golden Aphrodite, come to me!
Flower of the foam, rise from the bitter sea.
The hour of the full moon-tide draws near,
Hear the invoking words, hear and appear!
Isis unveiled, and Ea, Binah, Ge!
I am Thy priestess. Answer unto me.

HP:
In the beginning was space and darkness and stillness, older than time and forgotten of the Gods. The sea of infinite space was the source of all being; life arose therein like a tide in the soundless sea. This is the Great Sea, the Great Mother. She is called many names by many men, but to all She is the Great Goddess. She is the giver of form to the formless force, that it may come into Being. She is the bringer-in of death, for that which has form must die in order that it may be born again into fuller life. All that is born must die, but that which dies shall be reborn.

HPS:
I am the soundless, boundless, bitter sea;
All things in the end shall come to Me.
Mine is the kingdom of Persephone.

HP:
Whatsoever arises out of nothingness, She giveth it. Whatsoever sinketh down into nothingness, She receiveth it. She is the Great Sea whence all life arose, to which all shall return at the end of the aeon.

HPS:
I am the star that rises from the sea
The twilight sea.
The tides of all men’s souls belong to Me.
Out of My hands you take your destiny.
These are the moon-tides, these belong to Me.

Hera in heaven, on earth Persephone;
Levanah of the tides, and Hecate.
Diana of the Moon, Star of the Sea,
Isis unveiled, and Ea, Binah, Ge!

(quiet for a few minutes)

 Start singalong chant:

All:
We all come from the Goddess
And to Her we shall return
Like a drop of rain
Flowing to the ocean

(let it go on as it will)

Energy circle for those in need

Cakes and Ale

HPS stretches hands over bread and juice; HP places his hands over hers

HPS: For I am the Full Moon among the Stars, and I am the Foundation Stone of Heaven, the Cornerstone of the Celestial Temple. And My Lord is the Sun and the ripened grain, ground between the miller’s stones to sustain the life of the body.

HP: And when joined together they are the reflection of the Cosmos in the soul and body of Woman and Man, born of the living Gods of Heaven and Earth. May Their love and Their strength and Their blessing be in this food and drink.

Eat and drink

Circle closing:

And ask your blessings as you depart to your Realms of Earth.
May there be peace between us now and forever.

And ask your blessings as you depart to your Realms of Sun-Fire.
May there be peace between us now and forever.

Hail and farewell!

East:
Guardians and Spirits of the East!
We thank you for your presence here
And ask your blessings as you depart to your Realms of Sky.
May there be peace between us now and forever.

Hail and farewell!

HPS sweeps circle in the sand away with broom, going widdershins, while…

HP: Remember all ye that existence is pure joy; that all the sorrows are but as shadows; they pass and are done; but there is that which remains. For your holy place shall be untouched throughout the centuries; though with fire and sword it be burnt down and shattered, yet an invisible house there standeth, and shall stand.

HPS, returning to altar:
Go therefore:
Walk in peace and strength and wisdom
And in the fullness of the love of the Gods.

HP:
Lady and Lord, go if You must, and stay if You will.
The Circle is opened, but unbroken.
Merry meet, merry part, and merry meet again!

All: So mote it be!
